Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Narciso Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the game, Humberto Quinito threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Oiteiras's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Oiteiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Narciso Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oiteiras's Agnaldo Pontes was substituted for Amílton Pereira. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 彭钢昂 having to interfere. Renatinho Loyola made in the 70th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. 彭钢昂 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 71st minute. 72 minutes into the match, Adilson Reis notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Oiteiras had won after a very even match.
