In the 17thth minute of the game Luz Tejedor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SÉ SE's János Moravecz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Armas Vapamaa sent off a good shot on target. Armas Vapamaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The goalkeeper, Rolando Noboa, was totally fooled by SÉ SE's Celso Sabóia, who 27 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. János Moravecz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Julian Bentkowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Milagros Fraga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. János Moravecz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 35th minute of play. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wen Bing Liang went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. In the 40th minute, one of Peru:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Peru. 45 minutes into the match, SÉ SE's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but János Moravecz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Wen Bing Liang tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 3-3 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

János Moravecz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 51st minute. János Moravecz had great luck who in the 53rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Julian Murillo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. János Moravecz stood somewhat misplaced when Julian Murillo came free in front of goal and shot 3-4 to the left of him in the 54 minute. 56 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Zalán Ibrahimovic came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but János Moravecz made a huge save. 68 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of János Moravecz, 3-5. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Peru booed when SÉ SE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tibor Dudás didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the SÉ SE defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of János Moravecz. The SÉ SE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that János Moravecz should have stopped the shot. János Moravecz came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-7. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Gallo in the 85th minute of play forced SÉ SE's goalkeeper János Moravecz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SÉ SE's János Moravecz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save SÉ SE from getting a goal against them. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zalán Ibrahimovic in the 92nd minute of the match. After 93 played minutes SÉ SE got a freekick which was hit by Ali Faruk Tuğra. In the 96th minute Attila Pálffy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Peru supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
