Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Revheim having to interfere. In the 20th minute Gard Bredesen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in İbrahima Diallo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play forced POPODARA F.C's goalkeeper Thomas Revheim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Revheim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by POPODARA F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dimas Amaro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jack Berland during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, POPODARA F.C's Kryspin Mazierski got a free kick in the 82nd minute. POPODARA F.C's Ådne Svensen was substituted for Dimas Amaro. In the 83rd minute, Kryspin Mazierski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gard Bredesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Ecuador's Luis Andino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thomas Revheim. Thomas Revheim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Thomas Revheim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 94th minute of play. After 97 played minutes POPODARA F.C got a freekick which was hit by Niculae Miclescu. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than POPODARA F.C throughout the match.
