An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano De Bruyne in the 13th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cristóvão Bezerra was slow to take the kick. During this time Leão de Judá's players had a chance to rest. After having played for 21 minutes, Caetano De Bruyne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leão de Judá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caetano De Bruyne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Cristiano Azevedo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Leão de Judá's Freddy Rincón got a free kick in the 24th minute. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Severino Azevedo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charlie Hennenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charlie Hennenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

53 minutes into the match, Leão de Judá's goalkeeper Charlie Hennenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Carlos Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Azevedo in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute of the match Leão de Judá got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cristóvão Bezerra ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Leão de Judá getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Severino Azevedo hit a great ball. In the 64th minute Severino Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charlie Hennenberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano De Bruyne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano De Bruyne in the 79th minute of the match. In the 84thth minute of the game Severino Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 88 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. After 93 minutes, Cristiano Azevedo made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Leão de Judá's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
