Kultapossukerho's Elbert Hand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 11th minute. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. In the 15thth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kultapossukerho's Elbert Hand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Elbert Hand was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elbert Hand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andy Jackson during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Kultapossukerho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Jackson to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Kultapossukerho's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Elbert Hand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Elbert Hand didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. A very good chance. 0-2 became the score in the 47th minute when Daniel Zorita elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Nuutti Vauhkonen made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Kultapossukerho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niko Petriläinen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Antonio Arias suffered a concussion after 57 minutes and had to leave the field. 57 minutes into the game, Niko Petriläinen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kultapossukerho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Ecuador's Max Alvarado was substituted for Antonio Arias. After 58 played minutes Kultapossukerho got a freekick which was hit by Niko Petriläinen. After having played for 62 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kultapossukerho's Pietari Jaakkola was substituted for Nuutti Vauhkonen. Kultapossukerho's Hernan Leizarraga was substituted for Veli Kuparinen. The audience was convinced that Sixto Ugutz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. After 90 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Elbert Hand came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pietari Jaakkola's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. The supporters of Kultapossukerho booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Kultapossukerho fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
