Kultapossukerho's Elbert Hand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play. Elbert Hand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Kultapossukerho's Elbert Hand. Elbert Hand was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elbert Hand read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sixto Ugutz struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kultapossukerho. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nuutti Vauhkonen to make the kick off. Felix Montenegro's late challenge caught a Kultapossukerho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kultapossukerho booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Kultapossukerho getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Andy Jackson hit a great ball. Kultapossukerho's Elbert Hand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Kultapossukerho from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Kultapossukerho's Nuutti Vauhkonen got a free kick in the 60th minute. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Elbert Hand firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 63 minutes Kultapossukerho's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Elbert Hand made a huge save. Terho Litja hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pietari Jaakkola in the 87th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kultapossukerho.
