Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute. Ecuador's Luis Andino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kacper Tobiáš in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Kacper Tobiáš didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kacper Tobiáš didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. With his leg Kacper Tobiáš managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Edin Džeko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dennis Esbjörnsson during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 75 played minutes F.C. Sosnowiec got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Esbjörnsson. With a little luck, F.C. Sosnowiec's Kacper Tobiáš got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 78 minutes F.C. Sosnowiec's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Kacper Tobiáš made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Kacper Tobiáš showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Edin Džeko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play.
