Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johnni Kirkskov having to make a save. Johnni Kirkskov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in BK Skjold's zone, Kevin Mastache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnni Kirkskov came out of the goal and Kevin Mastache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicko Vadmann kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind BK Skjold's goalkeeper Johnni Kirkskov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Colombia were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after BK Skjold's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Montenegro took the corner. After taking down the ball on Colombia's corner Axel Montenegro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Johnni Kirkskov quite easily take care of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

BK Skjold's Johnni Kirkskov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save BK Skjold from getting a goal against them. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, BK Skjold's Johnni Kirkskov got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Johnni Kirkskov made a huge save. Joshua Garrido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. BK Skjold's Casimiro Gines was substituted for Jaime Shantala. Axel Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Johnni Kirkskov came out and tried to block the shot, but Axel Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 62nd minute. Pascual Carballar's late challenge caught a BK Skjold's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pascual Carballar helped the player get up and apologised. After 70 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Carballar. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. In the 71st minute, Pascual Carballar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of Colombia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of BK Skjold:s goal. In the 74th minute there was a penalty for BK Skjold. Genaro Procopio stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pedro Manzanares. 2-2. Lionel Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the game, Genaro Procopio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Kevin Mastache quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 83 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Abram Secada. When Jose Eduino came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the BK Skjold fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Eduino couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Genaro Procopio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Procopio in the 89th minute of play. In the 97th minute Jose Eduino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
