Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobald Karanewski in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Sebastián Puig in the 13th minute of play forced Carpathians's goalkeeper Matei Răducu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teobald Karanewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matei Răducu. Carpathians's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Teobald Karanewski struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carpathians. In the 22nd minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 26th minute, Teobald Karanewski reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-2. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Carpathians's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matei Răducu came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Răducu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute of play forced Carpathians's goalkeeper Matei Răducu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute, Leontin Ţurcaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carpathians made a substitution. Laurențiu Iurea replaced Pär Öman. After a rather tough play, Carpathians's Leontin Ţurcaş got a free kick in the 48th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teobald Karanewski made a kick off. Matei Răducu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 56th minute of play. Teobald Karanewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Matei Răducu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Carpathians's Alin Nichitelea got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alin Nichitelea came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Stefan Dobay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leontin Ţurcaş in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leontin Ţurcaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Dobay in the 89th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carpathians's Matei Răducu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Carpathians from getting a goal against them. After 91 minutes Carpathians's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Carpathians's Matei Răducu managed to reach the ball for a save. Leontin Ţurcaş kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 97th minute of the match Carpathians got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alin Nichitelea ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Connor Hughes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
