Oliver Bierhoffs short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Pedro Manzanares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomáš Kožený got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Bierhoff came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ambrosio Bartolome fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oliver Bierhoff in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 19 played minutes Oliver Bierhoff rounded Colombia's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Matías Patrone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Matías Patrone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Los Delfines's Matías Patrone. Matías Patrone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Matías Patrone came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Colombia's Santino Seco. But to his dismay, Santino Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 33 minutes into the match, Los Delfines's Oliver Bierhoff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute of the match Los Delfines got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomáš Kožený ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Tomáš Kožený almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares did a great save. In the 38th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Garrido to maneuver through the defense. Oliver Bierhoff struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Delfines. In the 41st minute Tomáš Kožený shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ambrosio Bartolome came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Los Delfines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambrosio Bartolome couldn't finish the play. Tomáš Kožený in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oliver Bierhoff in the 53rd minute of the match. Los Delfines made a substitution. Saverio Regis replaced Ambrosio Bartolome. Los Delfines's Victor Jerrold was substituted for Tomáš Kožený. A collision led to Los Delfines getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Dani Cáceres hit a great ball. In the 60th minute, Lucas Urbez made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 63rd minute, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hilario Asteri made in the 90th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Oscar Orzaize. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Urbez in the 91st minute of play. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Urbez, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. If Lucas Urbez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
