Rune Söder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of play forced Firma Barnängen's goalkeeper Rune Söder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Bernt Runberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Firma Barnängen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Olsson in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Humberto Alcaraz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita suffered a sore thigh after 16 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 罗珂国's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Humberto Alcaraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 played minutes Firma Barnängen got a freekick which was hit by Vidar Gummeson. After 46 played minutes Firma Barnängen got a freekick which was hit by Kemalettin Yüksel. After 47 played minutes, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rune Söder came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mark Olsson to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, one of Ecuador:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ecuador. After some careless play in the Firma Barnängen defense, Agustín Saelices kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rune Söder. The Firma Barnängen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rune Söder should have stopped the shot. 60 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Firma Barnängen's Rune Söder. Rune Söder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 65th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rune Söder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Firma Barnängen getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Bernt Runberg hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rune Söder came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 74th minute. Rune Söder didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. In the 84th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Ekström in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to Firma Barnängen getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Humberto Alcaraz hit a great ball. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rune Söder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. When Kemalettin Yüksel fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Firma Barnängen's protests and gave Kemalettin Yüksel a yellow card for diving instead. Kemalettin Yüksel kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
