In the 12th minute Anibal Lluques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anibal Lluques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anibal Lluques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anibal Lluques's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. A collision led to Q. T. I. getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Maximino Lorenz hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Q. T. I.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Paulo Txatxu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anibal Lluques in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. Anibal Lluques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. If Anibal Lluques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Q. T. I. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Montrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Lluques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. T. I.'s Jonas Henrico was substituted for Carlos Sergi. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anibal Lluques made a kick off. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Julian Raymundo sped through Paraguay's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anibal Lluques in the 54th minute of play. After 55 minutes, Anibal Lluques made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Q. T. I. fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Q. T. I.'s Anibal Lluques looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Jacobo Nores didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anibal Lluques went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Paraguay's Ivan Prats quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Anibal Lluques, made in the 72nd minute of the game. Leopoldo Vermudo kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Maximino Lorenz took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacobo Nores. Jacobo Nores dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. 81 minutes into the game, Xavier Zoido was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Q. T. I. the free kick. Xavier Zoido kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Casimiro Guillelmus made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0. A throw-in in the 89th minute of the game was made by Justo Florian with Maximino Lorenz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Jacobo Nores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anibal Lluques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Anibal Lluques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. After 94 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Escribano. Paraguay's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
