Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pranas Užkuraitis started the match with the kick off. Pranas Užkuraitis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pranas Užkuraitis in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Pranas Užkuraitis put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. 15 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Pranas Užkuraitis came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alan Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. It was a well-played corner which Arnaldo Tróia managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnaldo Tróia got free with Benito Sanz in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Epaminondas Baba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Pranas Užkuraitis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 33rd minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnaldo Tróia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnaldo Tróia in the 41st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Epaminondas Baba got free with Benito Sanz in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Pranas Užkuraitis came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Arnaldo Tróia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arnaldo Tróia really showed his touch with that goal: 6-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. After 53rd play minutes Epaminondas Baba shot 7-0, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pranas Užkuraitis, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Tróia came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pranas Užkuraitis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Epaminondas Baba went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Arnaldo Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66thth minute of the game Epaminondas Baba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 67th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the game, Epaminondas Baba cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pranas Užkuraitis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pranas Užkuraitis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnaldo Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got his second yellow card of the match in the 75th minute. The referee ordered Alan Moruga off the ground. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 76th minute. Epaminondas Baba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epaminondas Baba in the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Pranas Užkuraitis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Batalhão do Peçanha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Epaminondas Baba took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pranas Užkuraitis in the 91st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Batalhão do Peçanha fully deserved thier win.
