Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Osvaldo Otsoko made the kick off in the second half. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Wallgren in the 54th minute of play. Panama were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after IFK Stockholm's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. The IFK Stockholm fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dries Ramps should have stopped the shot. Dries Ramps made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 81st minute of play. IFK Stockholm's Dries Ramps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Panama's Tomas Berganza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. In the 87th minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Panama's Dries Ramps threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomas Berganza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Panama players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
