The audience was convinced that Daniel Zorita's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Panait Hațegan was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Panait Hațegan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mugur Cenușă in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute, Alper Benli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the game, Mădălin Cangeopol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wesley Sneijder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alper Benli in the 38th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mădălin Cangeopol in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 45th minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Panait Hațegan quite easily take care of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

54 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Alper Benli came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Ovidiu Șişman. But to his dismay, Ovidiu Șişman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 62 minutes into the match, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Panait Hațegan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mădălin Cangeopol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mădălin Cangeopol in the 67th minute of play. Alper Benli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mădălin Cangeopol spun around in front of the goal 80 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Ecuador's goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mădălin Cangeopol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
