Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Garcia in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match Bacho Team got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hernan Ferrando ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bacho Team's Hernan Ferrando was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ernesto Padro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 18th minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, David Bernabel threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chile's Pedro Indiano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Orlando Casaus's late challenge caught a Bacho Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlando Casaus helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Bacho Team booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Casaus didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivo de Sousa got free with Thiago Pliego in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chile's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hernan Ferrando was slow to take the kick. During this time Bacho Team's players had a chance to rest. Guillermo Fontirroig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39thth minute of the game Mariano Lacasa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bacho Team's Ernesto Padro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Emanuele Marrone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivo de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Bacho Team's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Ernesto Padro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Padro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Padro having to make a save. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 71st minute of play forced Bacho Team's goalkeeper Ernesto Padro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Bacho Team defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Padro. The Bacho Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Padro should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuele Marrone in the 76th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Lacasa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Ernesto Padro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ernesto Padro was completely defenseless when Orlando Casaus shot a long shot which deflected off the right pole and into the goal in the game's 81st minute, 0-2. Isidro Montrel took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 88 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernesto Padro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 91 minutes of play, Bacho Team's Ivo de Sousa made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! 94 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Padro. Bacho Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Chile's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
