After taking down the ball on Honduras's corner Christian Sancho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Erwin Teesing quite easily take care of the ball. Erwin Teesing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 5th minute of the match. ASC South United's Erwin Teesing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 6th minute of play. Cees Hermensen charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cees Hermensen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Honduras booed when ASC South United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cees Hermensen didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 11th managed to get into a good position. When Esteban Carvallo fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Esteban Carvallo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erwin Teesing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 21st minute of play forced ASC South United's goalkeeper Erwin Teesing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Erwin Teesing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erwin Teesing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, ASC South United's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Erwin Teesing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to ASC South United getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Hugo Bender hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Hugo Bender made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Hugo Bender kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. The supporters of ASC South United booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Espiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Erwin Teesing in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erwin Teesing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erwin Teesing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 92 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The ASC South United players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
