Marconi Galvan hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 5th minute of play forced Garopaba F.C's goalkeeper Orlando da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Garopaba F.C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. The corner led to Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 10 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wambasther Özil who took care of the corner kick. Dedé Correia came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Dedé Correia sent off a good shot on target. Dedé Correia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 23rd minute, Garopaba F.C's Dedé Correia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A throw-in in the 26th minute of the game was made by Cauan dos Santos with Dedé Correia as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 28 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dedé Correia. Dedé Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 37th minute. Nicolas Bueno was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dedé Correia to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Nicolas Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dedé Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedé Correia in the 63rd minute of the match. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orlando da Cunha having to make a save. Garopaba F.C's Rogelio Urtungo was substituted for Dedé Correia. In the 68th minute, Keven Swift hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Orlando da Cunha in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 77 played minutes Garopaba F.C got a freekick which was hit by Marconi Galvan. In the 79th match minute, Garopaba F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marconi Galvan to maneuver through the defense. Marconi Galvan got a throw-in 82 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Rogelio Urtungo. Orlando da Cunha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. After 90 played minutes Garopaba F.C got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Bueno. 95 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Urtungo came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Garopaba F.C.
