After having played for 11 minutes, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alan Tamayo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Rejunte de perros's Ernesto Natanael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 17th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Natanael. Rejunte de perros's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Natanael. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rejunte de perros's goalkeeper Ernesto Natanael, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Mariano Lacasa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernesto Natanael was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto Natanael prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Chile fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Guillermo Fontirroig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ernesto Natanael having to make a save. Ernesto Natanael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 44th minute of play. The supporters of Chile booed when Rejunte de perros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Herena didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Rejunte de perros players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Chile were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rejunte de perros's goalkeeper Ernesto Natanael, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Rejunte de perros's Ernesto Natanael got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Pedro Indiano fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chile's protests and gave Pedro Indiano a yellow card for diving instead. Chile played a much better game than Rejunte de perros and deserved their victory. The Rejunte de perros players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
