Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Artemio Ikatz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Real Madrid FC's Paulo Leal got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The Real Madrid FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
