Mădălin Lunca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Gombal in the 10th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mannuel Ser got free with Mădălin Lunca in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dani Hernández showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Benjamin da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Chivos de Punto Fijo's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Quintal came free, but Dani Hernández reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Dani Hernández played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Quintal in the 42nd minute of play. Filip Bochinski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mădălin Lunca having to interfere. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Benjamin da Fonseca dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Mădălin Lunca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar Marinho in the 95th minute of play.
For all the effort they put into the match, the Pesqueira City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chivos de Punto Fijo.
