Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Silver saved Blue Rock F.C. from getting behind. In the 8th minute Rudolf Baker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Axel Tasis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Silver. Blue Rock F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Tasis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, Fletcher Pritchett was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blue Rock F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. After 13 played minutes Blue Rock F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fletcher Pritchett. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Blue Rock F.C.'s Fletcher Pritchett. But to his dismay, Fletcher Pritchett quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 21st minute of play forced Blue Rock F.C.'s goalkeeper Richard Silver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Silver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fletcher Pritchett in the 28th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 30 minutes of play Blue Rock F.C.'s Fletcher Pritchett was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Richard Silver showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When Alan Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alan Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 36th minute. The supporters of Blue Rock F.C. booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Darryl Fink in the 38th minute really tested Benito Sanz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 40 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Josh Kemp came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Josh Kemp came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Clint Crabtree came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Blue Rock F.C. fans jumped to their feet. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Rudolf Baker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Rudolf Baker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 46 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Clint Crabtree blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. Clint Crabtree received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josh Kemp might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Josh Kemp ran back to his position shaking his head. Richard Silver made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 75th minute of play. Richard Silver made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Puig in the 79th minute. Josh Kemp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Blue Rock F.C. booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute of the match Darryl Fink shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Josh Kemp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clint Crabtree in the 96th minute of the match. After having played for 97 minutes, Clint Crabtree managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blue Rock F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Clint Crabtree was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blue Rock F.C. were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
