When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. Bandit Sarap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 9th minute of the match. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Albert Puskás tried to sneak it across the goal line. If László Salgó had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bandit Sarap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bandit Sarap narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Vérsárkány SE getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Tivadar Kereki hit a great ball. The corner led Mexico's Luca Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Bandit Sarap despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Vérsárkány SE's Bandit Sarap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 34th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bandit Sarap breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Albert Puskás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Bandit Sarap made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 89th minute. The supporters of Vérsárkány SE booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bandit Sarap. Vérsárkány SE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mexico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
