Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Iachetti Bernabeytia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 4th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodríguez Tome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Rodríguez Tome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodríguez Tome didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Machado Pedrero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa skillfully saved the ball. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Rodríguez Tome, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 18 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucien Senden in the 19th minute of play. Liga de Quito's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Machado Pedrero in the 21st minute. Liga de Quito's Machado Pedrero was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dante Lacasa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Rodríguez Tome, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mexico's Luca Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 58 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. In the 58th minute, Facundo Cadaval fired away a hard free kick towards the goal. Rodríguez Tome moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Rodríguez Tome in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodríguez Tome breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 67 played minutes Liga de Quito got a freekick which was hit by 俞骏桦. Rodríguez Tome made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. Machado Pedrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Machado Pedrero in the 69th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 孟轩青, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 81st minute 孟轩青 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Rodríguez Tome didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. 87 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodríguez Tome made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. A throw-in in the 91st minute of the game was made by Fan Jian with Inocencio Sopena as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 92nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Cazalla to maneuver through the defense. Rodríguez Tome came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
