Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) After 4 minutes, Eckehard Deckert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Odeweg FSV and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eckehard Deckert kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Odeweg FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Herminio Iztal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Eckehard Deckert tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herminio Iztal saved Odeweg FSV from getting behind. Conny Plomp kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Herminio Iztal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Odeweg FSV getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Edward Kalnik hit a great ball. Odeweg FSV's Herminio Iztal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 32nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 39 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Timo Böhm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Odeweg FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 45th minute, Timo Böhm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Odeweg FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eckehard Deckert to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute, one of Odeweg FSV:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Odeweg FSV. When the match had been going on for 55 minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Herminio Iztal. In the 58th minute, Conrad Furesi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Odeweg FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 67th minute of the match, Luis Andino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Herminio Iztal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Conrad Furesi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timo Böhm got his second yellow card in the match during the 72nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 73rd minute, Timo Böhm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 74th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Herminio Iztal but with some difficulty. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Herminio Iztal. Herminio Iztal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Herminio Iztal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eckehard Deckert might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eckehard Deckert ran back to his position shaking his head. Ecuador played a much better game than Odeweg FSV and deserved their victory. The Odeweg FSV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
