Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Independiente's Fulgencio Senen got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Independiente's Eddie Van Halen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 10th minute of play. Eddie Van Halen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Eddie Van Halen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eddie Van Halen saved Independiente from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 20th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Eddie Van Halen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eddie Van Halen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 25th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 袁风奕. Eddie Van Halen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 袁风奕 in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Independiente's goalkeeper Eddie Van Halen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Julian Murillo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Eddie Van Halen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gabirel Christbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 袁风奕 in the 58th minute of play. Eddie Van Halen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Eddie Van Halen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 袁风奕, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Senen in the 66th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Eliseo Mina took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Eddie Van Halen to make any attempt to save it. Eddie Van Halen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 84th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Senen in the 86th minute of play. After some careless play in the Independiente defense, Luz Tejedor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eddie Van Halen. The Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eddie Van Halen should have stopped the shot. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo.
