In the 13th minute Volmar Mouritzen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Ellande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Hønning's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Abar came free, but Dirch Glerum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geovanni Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Mercedes's goal looked a bit too open when Volmar Mouritzen came free, but Augusto Ellande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, Hønning was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fillip Knutstad to maneuver through the defense. Alvaro Abar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Dirch Glerum made a huge save. Augusto Ellande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Volmar Mouritzen in the 36th minute of play. With a little luck, Hønning's Dirch Glerum got control of the ball when Ciriaco Chinto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fillip Knutstad charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fillip Knutstad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 played minutes Hønning got a freekick which was hit by Fillip Knutstad. Alvaro Abar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirch Glerum having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After taking down the ball on Mercedes's corner Fabian Ascencio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dirch Glerum quite easily take care of the ball.
