Anselmo Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frantz Fillali received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dirch Glerum came out and tried to block the shot, but Frantz Fillali slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. A collision led to Hønning getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Fillip Knutstad hit a great ball. Hakkı Türel took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dirch Glerum. Dirch Glerum dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Hakkı Türel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dirch Glerum read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Anselmo Monteiros short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Dirch Glerum to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 19 minutes into the game, Anselmo Monteiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dirch Glerum. Anselmo Monteiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Dirch Glerum made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Frantz Fillali sent off a good shot on target. Dirch Glerum made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Monteiro in the 25th minute. With a little luck, Hønning's Dirch Glerum got control of the ball when Hakkı Türel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hønning's Dirch Glerum proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Hønning from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the match, Hønning's goalkeeper Dirch Glerum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anselmo Monteiro. A collision led to Cantera FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Nunez Formerio hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Laurids Hvenekilde got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Dirch Glerum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hakkı Türel in the 52nd minute of play. John-Arne Riise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Saturnino Flotow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hakkı Türel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Dirch Glerum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hakkı Türel in the 69th minute of play forced Hønning's goalkeeper Dirch Glerum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cantera FC's zone, John-Arne Riise stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aquilino Felo came out of the goal and John-Arne Riise tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hakkı Türel in the 77th minute of play forced Hønning's goalkeeper Dirch Glerum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 77 minutes of play, Cantera FC's Hakkı Türel made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dirch Glerum was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 84 minutes Hønning's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ambrosio Astera who took care of the corner kick. Per Nørbjerg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Aquilino Felo made a huge save. Hønning's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Laurids Hvenekilde in the 89th minute. The corner led Hønning's Laurids Hvenekilde to fire away a dangerous shot which Aquilino Felo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Cantera FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
