But to his dismay, Cristo Serapio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 17th minute Acácio Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirch Glerum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Hønning was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurids Hvenekilde to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute Gong Feng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirch Glerum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John-Arne Riise succeeded in the game's 25th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. 30 minutes into the game, Acácio Nogueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dirch Glerum was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 39 minutes into the game, AC Batán's Acácio Nogueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dirch Glerum made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. 43 minutes into the match, Hønning's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Nogueira came free, but Dirch Glerum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Hønning players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AC Batán were winning 1-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Acácio Nogueira was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Acácio Nogueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dirch Glerum. Hønning's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Acácio Nogueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. In the 60th minute AC Batán were awarded a corner. Gong Feng went to the cornerflag to take it. AC Batán's Gong Feng was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dirch Glerum in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ni Le Zheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Nørbjerg in the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Hønning booed when AC Batán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Acácio Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Olav Blommegaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hønning's Dirch Glerum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Nogueira in the 68th minute of play. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Angelo Orlondon sped through Hønning's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dirch Glerum. John-Arne Riise kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the match, John-Arne Riise had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ni Le Zheng. AC Batán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that John-Arne Riise was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-6. The crowd rose to their feet as AC Batán's Cido Cardozo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dirch Glerum. That made the score 2-7 after 95 minutes of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AC Batán had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
