Isidoro Dolfos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The supporters of Club Almirante Brown booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guido Bautista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 26th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilfredo Segio's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilfredo Segio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Club Almirante Brown getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Wilfredo Segio hit a great ball. Isidoro Dolfos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Isidoro Dolfos however easily saved by the left post.
