In the 16thth minute of the game Richard Scholten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jesus Satordi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of the match. In the 19th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Satordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jesus Satordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesus Satordi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Elizabeth Three Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Jesus Satordi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cvetin Luković in the 54th minute of the match. After 56 played minutes Elizabeth Three Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Qian Shu Chong. Cristian Sancho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jesus Satordi firmly grabbed it by the left post. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Agustín Saelices fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jesus Satordi quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Elizabeth Three Lions FC defense, Agustín Saelices kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jesus Satordi. The Elizabeth Three Lions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jesus Satordi should have stopped the shot. In the 64th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Jesus Satordi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 73rd minute. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jesus Satordi quite easily take care of the ball. In the 76th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. Richard Scholten hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Elizabeth Three Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Wilson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
