An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 27th minute of play forced The Valar's goalkeeper Emmanuel Canturri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Axel Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emmanuel Canturri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. The Valar's Emmanuel Canturri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 34th minute of play. Manwë Vala struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Valar. Cristian Ozon hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, The Valar's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Emmanuel Canturri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Colombia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
