Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. NapoleonMG's Gualterio Cai got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucio Fagondo in the 25th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tasis in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bogdan Fafinski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when NapoleonMG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Marz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Lucio Fagondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Efrain Moruga got a free kick in the 52nd minute. A throw-in in the 54th minute of the game was made by Hugo Ferrant with Lautaro Puig as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With a little luck, NapoleonMG's Bogdan Fafinski got control of the ball when Axel Tasis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Bogdan Fafinski in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bogdan Fafinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nicky Foote had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Cai in the 76th minute of the match. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Fafinski having to interfere. When Alexander Carballo fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alexander Carballo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Carballo to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. NapoleonMG fully deserved thier win.
