Lucas Siggesson scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Siggesson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 9-0 when Lucas Siggesson sped through El Salvador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Siggesson in the 92nd minute of play. Placido Mikolas took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0.
