The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, FC South Park's Jan-Ove Hägglund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 12 minutes Paraguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Johan Svanberg who took care of the corner kick. With his leg Jacobo Nores managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when FC South Park's Johan Svanberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Johan Svanbergs short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Jacobo Nores to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 17 minutes into the match, FC South Park's Johan Svanberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacobo Nores narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Jan-Ove Hägglund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacobo Nores was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Johan Svanberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Ove Hägglund in the 22nd minute of play. Jacobo Nores was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Jan-Ove Hägglund capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jan-Ove Hägglund really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The supporters of FC South Park booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Covarrubias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Ove Hägglund, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Johan Svanberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Jacobo Nores however easily saved by the left post. FC South Park were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Paraguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Johan Svanberg took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Johan Svanberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jacobo Nores quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 36th minute, Alan Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrian Boman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Johan Svanberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Johan Svanberg came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FC South Park fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johan Svanberg couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Johan Svanberg made a kick off. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Alan Campos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Svanberg in the 54th minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute Johan Svanberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC South Park's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraguay the free kick. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by FC South Park's Jan-Ove Hägglund. But to his dismay, Jan-Ove Hägglund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. FC South Park's Elliott Axelsson was substituted for Johan Svanberg. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elliott Axelsson in the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Ove Hägglund in the 83rd minute of play forced Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan-Ove Hägglund's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Sture Böcklund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Sture Böcklund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Jan-Ove Hägglund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacobo Nores. Paraguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan-Ove Hägglund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. During the 92nd minute of the match Sture Böcklund completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sture Böcklund a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Primitivo Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC South Park were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Paraguay for a fine match.
