Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lisandro Nuñez got the match started through his kick off. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Dario Astigar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dario Astigar having to make a save. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by SAN LORENZO FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Dario Astigar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernie Siegel in the 27th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lv Ang Jing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Facundo Cadaval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lisandro Nuñez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Facundo Cadaval charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Facundo Cadaval the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 47 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lisandro Nuñez in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Macos Graciani made in the 53rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Joel Gaona however managed to control. In the 54th minute, Luca Zorita fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dario Astigar, passed just outside the right post. After 58 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Tiniebra. After 60 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Tiniebra. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 62nd minute. Alberto Tafalla made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that SAN LORENZO FC's Dario Astigar managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 66th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Mancebo to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Mancebo kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After some careless play in the SAN LORENZO FC defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Astigar. The SAN LORENZO FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Astigar should have stopped the shot. Joel Gaona could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Dario Astigar made a huge save. Dario Astigar was a little too slow when Alberto Tafalla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-2. Mexico played a much better game than SAN LORENZO FC and deserved their victory. The SAN LORENZO FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
