AMED's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, AMED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Azam Pieng to maneuver through the defense. In the 3rd minute, Edmundo Espiga sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AMED's Flavio Pasquarelli didn't even have to move. In the 7thth minute of the game Ong Chong who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to AMED getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Asiz Chian hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Afiq Shyan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. The supporters of AMED booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milagros Cabal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sílvio Luís Munhoz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sílvio Luís Munhoz. AMED's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ong Chong in the 28th minute. After taking down the ball on AMED's corner Asiz Chian fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lautaro Navarro quite easily take care of the ball. If Ong Chong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to AMED getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Asiz Chian hit a great ball. Edmundo Espiga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavio Pasquarelli having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Pasquarelli was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Emanuel Ocampo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, AMED's Ong Chong tried to score from far away in the 42nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Afiq Shyan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. In the 44th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sílvio Luís Munhoz to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Villa got free with Flavio Pasquarelli in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 58thth minute of the game Sebastian Villa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AMED's Flavio Pasquarelli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Munhoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Edmundo Espiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavio Pasquarelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afiq Shyan in the 63rd minute of play. Sebastian Villa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Pasquarelli having to interfere. AMED made a substitution. Gage Tuan replaced Afiq Shyan. AMED made a substitution. Ong Sum replaced Ong Chong. AMED's Flavio Pasquarelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save AMED from getting a goal against them. In the 75th minute of the game Valentín Carvallo made a throw-in which Christian Sancho played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gică Drumeș in the 79th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Pasquarelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Honduras were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after AMED's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edmundo Espiga took the corner. In the 86th minute Gică Drumeș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gică Drumeș's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lautaro Navarro was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gică Drumeș in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. Valentín Carvallo made in the 90th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Moises Tafalla however managed to control. AMED's Flavio Pasquarelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Emanuel Ocampo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. AMED were victorious despite being under pressure from Honduras for much of the match.
