Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bob Leerbels ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 7th minute of play forced Bacardi FC's goalkeeper Leo Dauwen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leo Dauwen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leo Dauwen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Roni Coryn sent off a good shot on target. 26 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Roni Coryn came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Roy Voet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bob Leerbels's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bob Leerbels was slow to take the kick. During this time Bacardi FC's players had a chance to rest. Bacardi FC's Leo Dauwen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 32nd minute of play. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Roy Voet, made in the 41st minute of the game. In the 45th minute Arnoud Van Gestel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 49th minute got a chance for a shot 49th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bacardi FC's goalie prevented a goal.

The wind increased when Roni Coryn made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Julian Murillo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leo Dauwen. The goal made the score 0-1. Bacardi FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Julian Murillo scored to the left of an out of position Leo Dauwen, making the score, 0-2. 64 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leo Dauwen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Leo Dauwen made a huge save. Julian Murillo took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leo Dauwen. Leo Dauwen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Bacardi FC's Karel Christiaens was substituted for Bob Leerbels. Eliseo Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Arnoud Van Gestel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bacardi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoud Van Gestel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Joaquin Prats hit a great ball. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Bacardi FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line.
