Everardo Mingo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Ac Milan defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Everardo Mingo. The Ac Milan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Everardo Mingo should have stopped the shot. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maciej Kowalski in the 13th minute of play. Ac Milan were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ilmi Duka took the corner. The corner led Ac Milan's Ilmi Duka to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Maciej Kowalski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maciej Kowalski really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 19th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Mingo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilmi Duka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ac Milan's Everardo Mingo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 36th minute of play forced Ac Milan's goalkeeper Everardo Mingo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maksymilian Olejniczak got free with Julio Vera in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ac Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maciej Kowalski didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Ac Milan getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Demir Poradeci hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maciej Kowalski's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Ilmi Duka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ac Milan's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilmi Duka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Everardo Mingo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilmi Duka, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Everardo Mingo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Daniel Zorita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 58 minute of play. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 86th match minute, Ac Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Cano to maneuver through the defense. Ecuador's Antonio Arias suffered a sprained foot after 87 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Maciej Kowalski's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maciej Kowalski helped the player get up and apologised. Ecuador's Max Alvarado was substituted for Antonio Arias. A collision led to Ac Milan getting a freekick after 88 minutes play.
