The crowd rose to their feet as Bror Ståhlman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marco Day. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Alfons Sjö showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 7th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Garsås IF's Ola Lund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marco Day narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Garsås IF were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Archie Brodie took the corner. A collision led to USA getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Diego Bradley hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the match, USA's goalkeeper Marco Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ola Lund. Ola Lund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Day having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ola Lund in the 22nd minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Lund in the 23rd minute of play. Charlie Löfgren hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the game, USA's Monty Rogers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfons Sjö made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 41 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Ola Lund came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Ola Lund made a precise shot to the right of Marco Day. USA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ola Lund was the one to do the kick off. Garsås IF's attentive Bror Ståhlman managed to snatch the ball when Diego Bradley made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ola Lund in the 62nd minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cassius Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, USA's Edward Mcdonald got a free kick in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Sam Campbell dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfons Sjö, 3-2. Garsås IF's Sven-Ove Stål was substituted for Ola Lund. Sven-Ove Stål's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. Diego Bradley got a throw-in 83 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jenson Smith. USA were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Garsås IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jenson Smith took the corner. With a little luck, Garsås IF's Alfons Sjö got control of the ball when Sam Campbell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Ove Stål in the 93rd minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Garsås IF could leave the field as winners, despite USA having more of the ball for most of the match.
