Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alípio Rego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of play forced Bembenfica's goalkeeper Alípio Rego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Bembenfica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montes to fire away a dangerous shot which Alípio Rego despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 13 minutes Bembenfica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alípio Rego quite easily take care of the ball. Vitor Roque's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 21st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Dario Orlan sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Alípio Rego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Bembenfica booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Primitivo Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alípio Rego. Bembenfica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Florian Terrasi hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vitor Roque in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Bembenfica's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Alípio Rego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dario Orlan made a kick off. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Bembenfica's Dario Orlan. But to his dismay, Dario Orlan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Terrasi in the 61st minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Terrasi in the 61st minute of play. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alípio Rego. Alípio Rego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 66 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Orlan came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alípio Rego having to interfere. Alípio Rego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Bembenfica's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Alípio Rego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Alípio Rego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alípio Rego having to interfere. Ecuador played a much better game than Bembenfica and deserved their victory. The Bembenfica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
