Ola Lund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Lund in the 8th minute of play. Garsås IF's Bror Ståhlman managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alonso Berganza in the 11 minute of the game. Ola Lund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Lund in the 13th minute of play. Garsås IF's Alfons Sjö played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of play. The throw-in from Alonso Berganza in the 25th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Garsås IF's Göran Lindholm. Alfons Sjö made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of play. Alonso Berganza got a throw-in 32 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Moises Gayoso. 39 minutes into the game, Göran Lindholm threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Alfons Sjö took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milagros Fraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Garsås IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Alonso Berganza hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ola Lund to strike the kick off in the second half. Garsås IF's Alfons Sjö proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Garsås IF from getting a goal against them. Bror Ståhlman struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garsås IF. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfons Sjö made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 64th minute. With an all-out effort, Peru's Alfons Sjö threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Julian Murillo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sven-Ove Stål was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 84th minute Sven-Ove Stål shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfons Sjö read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Alfons Sjö made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 91st minute of play. A collision led to Garsås IF getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Archie Brodie hit a great ball.
