Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Rufino Giron scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 2-0. Santiago Huemen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Santiago Huemen slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 45th minute.

It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Puerto Quito had played much better football throughout.
