Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Adelino Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Adelino Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elói Barreto had several of the Ecuador's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 4 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Julio Vera as he didn't even see the shot coming. Betinho Trancoso's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Betinho Trancoso helped the player get up and apologised. Hamílton Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Ligeiro F.C's Hamílton Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 13th minute of play. Hamílton Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Orlando Sampaio heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Frank Tasso took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. In the 43rd minute Frank Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Tasso in the 44th minute of play. The Ligeiro F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 2-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Tasso to make the kick off. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ligeiro F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Paulista in the 96th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamílton Chaves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 98th minute. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
