With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Sultan-Mehmet Khan tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peru's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roman Riquelme was slow to take the kick. During this time ✩ Pep Team ✩'s players had a chance to rest. Sultan-Mehmet Khan made a great header on ✩ Pep Team ✩'s corner, it was just that Peru's Rolando Noboa managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 14th minute, ✩ Pep Team ✩'s Sultan-Mehmet Khan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Spase Kastrati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Sultan-Mehmet Khan sent off a good shot on target. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Spase Kastrati read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Spase Kastrati stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. The supporters of ✩ Pep Team ✩ booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. ✩ Pep Team ✩'s Spase Kastrati played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After having played for 39 minutes, Sultan-Mehmet Khan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ✩ Pep Team ✩'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Sultan-Mehmet Khan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Meng Yao Ao in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Spase Kastrati took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Meng Yao Ao made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, ✩ Pep Team ✩'s Sultan-Mehmet Khan got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Spase Kastrati. ✩ Pep Team ✩'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 56 minutes into the match, ✩ Pep Team ✩'s goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Spase Kastrati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonso Berganza to maneuver through the defense. After 69 played minutes ✩ Pep Team ✩ got a freekick which was hit by Eurico Dias. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sultan-Mehmet Khan, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milagros Fraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
