Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in C.D. Pepino’s's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferrán Suarez came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Raffo came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferrán Suarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to a score. 0-1 in the 12th minute. In the 15th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.D. Pepino’s's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ferrán Suarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romualdo Hetz, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Romualdo Hetz made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Don Tulach made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Ferrán Suarez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luis Andino went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Ferrán Suarez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. C.D. Pepino’s's Tito Solo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 73rd minute Romualdo Hetz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Don Tulach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, C.D. Pepino’s's Ferrán Suarez got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Don Tulach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to C.D. Pepino’s getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Maximino Cortazar hit a great ball. Mario Alberto Infante kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than C.D. Pepino’s.
