Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gilbert Podolski quite easily take care of the ball. Gilbert Podolski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Gilbert Podolski came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper Gilbert Podolski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 42nd minute of play forced Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper Gilbert Podolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them.

The wind increased when Ryszard Pilipiec made the kick off in the second half. Gilbert Podolski made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Gilbert Podolski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 55th minute. In the 57th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Andino to maneuver through the defense. After 60 played minutes Pogoń Stawiszyn got a freekick which was hit by Florian Panikowski. Gilbert Podolski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 61st minute of play. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Gilbert Podolski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute of play. Gilbert Podolski made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Luis Andino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilbert Podolski was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Gilbert Podolski in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 73rd minute Zbyszko Furgal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Gilbert Podolski however easily saved by the left post. Gilbert Podolski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 81st minute. Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A hard shot 86 in the game by Daniel Zorita from a close distance when the talented Gilbert Podolski managed to make a qualified save. Pogoń Stawiszyn's players were relieved. With a little luck, Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line.
