Jonas Bladi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Caeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grosso United's Jonas Bladi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Grosso United from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute, Antonín Orlík ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armindo Salgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jonas Bladi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim de Barros in the 20th minute of the match. VB-Team were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Grosso United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Álvaro Rezende took the corner. After taking down the ball on VB-Team's corner Álvaro Rezende fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonas Bladi quite easily take care of the ball. Gervásio Severiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Grosso United's zone, Gervásio Severiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Bladi came out of the goal and Gervásio Severiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, VB-Team's Jonas Bladi threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Shao Kun Yuan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 35th minute VB-Team were awarded a corner. Álvaro Rezende went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 36th minute Ulises Gartzen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Åke Abelsson in the 40th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grosso United's Mauro Mendez was substituted for Celedonio Hernando. When Shao Kun Yuan came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the VB-Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shao Kun Yuan couldn't finish the play. Armindo Salgado had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Fikri Bera's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antonín Orlík was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Grosso United's Armindo Salgado threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ulises Gartzen, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 58 minutes into the game, Grosso United's Cayetano Xacintu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armindo Salgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 64th minute Grosso United were awarded a corner. Fikri Bera went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Grosso United's Antonín Orlík to a score. 1-3 in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute Luís Caeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Bladi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute of the match VB-Team got a corner. Grosso United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Traian Hăvârneanu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jonas Bladi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Hăvârneanu in the 75th minute of play. Armindo Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Pietro, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Grosso United's Jonas Bladi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Traian Hăvârneanu in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Grosso United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
