When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After a rather tough play, Cavallino Rampante II's Ubaldo Gonzales got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Ernesto Fe in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivo Oja in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. After 63 minutes of play, Cavallino Rampante II's Candido Garin made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ernesto Fe made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. When Manuel Ioritz came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Cavallino Rampante II fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Ioritz couldn't finish the play. Cavallino Rampante II made a substitution. In the 86th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
