In the 18th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabricio Rosalio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabricio Rosalio came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Panama's Tomas Berganza. But to his dismay, Tomas Berganza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Fabricio Rosalio made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Abraham Alguacil sent off a good shot on target. 61 minutes into the game, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Aaron Barrios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panama's supporters rose to their feet, but Aaron Barrios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabricio Rosalio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 92 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fabricio Rosalio, 0-15. In the 96th minute, Tomas Berganza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabricio Rosalio. The goal made the score 0-16. Panama's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
